Been Away

Hello Crafters! I have been away for a while, life some times  is a bit hectic and between working and being a mom I have neglected my posts. Any who, I wanted to share what I have been up to lately on my “free” time 🙂  here is a Christmas card I managed to squeeze. Image is from Nellie Snellen her images are so whimsical and fun to color. I used my Inktense Pencils on watercolor cardstock. I added some wink of stella on the trim of the hats and embellished it with silver snowflakes for the background base in blue i used my Martha Stewart edge punch..  and finished it with the “Believe” sentiment I thought I was perfect just wished I had it done in white or embossed it… Well  that is from me today I hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy birthday!

Good afternoon crafty bloggers! 😉 Today we have a birthday party for my little nephew as he turns one, I remember my own boy’s first birthday it was so special I really miss them being little but then again I am very blessed to be a mom of 2 wonderful boys now 11yrs and 20yrs.  yikes how time flies! I am keeping this post short as I still have gifts to wrap.. This card was made for little James and his theme is Mickey Mouse, I love anything Disney, what can I say we are all kids at heart❤️

This stamp is from House of Mouse and I thought it would be perfect for today’s special celebration.  I colored him with my Prismas and used my wink of Stella for the tip of he cupcake and a bit of glossy accents on the candle. I went to Joann’s and found rah perfect paper for the background. I don’t really like busy patterns as like to focus on the main image. I also found a cute Mickey button and red twine. Hope you like it and have a blessed week.img_0742

Busy Sunday…

Hi there crafters! I had a very busy day today, you know the “normal” Sunday in most homes getting my wash done and ready for the week, had my truck detailed smells so nice and so clean ahahh…love a clean car! Did some grocery shopping and came home to make dinner! Who ever said you are supposed to relax on the weekends umm yea not in my house. Anyway, with the baseball season coming to a close for my 11yr. old we now have more time on Sunday’s to cook and spend time together as a family. Well onto my card for today 🙂 this one is from Stamping Bella and is from her stuffies collection called “stuffy stuffie” I have colored him with my Inktense pencils, yah I do love my pencils ehem… and used glossy accents for the bottom of the feet, ice bag and thermometer. I also used my circle nestabilities to cut him out and my 3D glue dots to give some dimension. All papers are from my fav place HL as well as the little embellishments. Most days with my fibromyalgia I feel like the little bear but I try to keep a positive perspective and try to have a normal life, I look forward to weekends when I can stamp and have some “me” time to distract me from the pain. Hope you have a great week!

Christmas Star…

Well August is finally here that means school shopping and then my favorite time… Fall, pumpkins, and sweaters. This year my goal is to complete at least 10 cards before the holiday season begins least that is the plan, one can hope but I can get there lol.. Well, now onto my card.. This image is from LOTV stamps called Christmas Star..this little girl reminds me of my nieces they are so cute💕 I have colored her with my Inktense pencils added some fine glitter on her coat trim and snow. I have also added some glossy accents on her boots and on some on the snow. The snow buttons I picked up from Hobby Lobby(love that place!) and the glittered ribbon from my local stamp shop. My sentiment is also from HL so is the designer paper. Well that’s it for my Thursday post talk to you soon 😊

Gentle Hugs~

Sunday’s Patchwork Butterfly

I am still trying to get the hang of this WordPress blogging so please forgive me as I am still under construction. LOL … Today I would like to share a card I made a few weeks ago. This one is from LOTV I just love all of their images and I will be posting more as I keep learning this blogging thing. This image is called Patchwork Butterfly and is the most adorable cutie I don’t know if is still available on their site. I have colored it with my Inktense Pencils on Strathmore watercolor 200 series, I love using this paper with my pencils as it has a good “tooth” for blending, now this is what works best for me and my needs. I have also used my circle nesties to frame my image and 3D glue dots to prop it and give it dimension. My sentiment is from the stamp doctor I purchased a few years ago. I hope you enjoyed my post today  🙂 I have to say that this blogging thing is very addictive hehehe. Gentle hugs ~ AMFW1164 Continue reading Sunday’s Patchwork Butterfly

Sending lots of hugs

Hello again and happy Saturday! I am enjoying my quiet house and love the peace there is today hehe.. I want to share my card with you today… yes another Stamping Bella. I just love all her stamps but I promise to post different ones that I love so much from other companies such as Lily of the valley and others. This cutie was colored using my Inktense pencils I just love the deep colors that can be accomplished with them. I also used my wink of Stella for a bit of glitter on her heart and bow. I really had a good time coloring and layering her on beautiful papers.Well that’s it from me hope you have a lovely day! 😊

My passion

Hello and welcome to my first blog post! I’m so excited to share my card making journey with you. So you may wonder how I came up with my blog name. I suffer from Fibromyalgia and we are recognized by the color purple and a butterfly, although the pain we suffer is nothing like a butterfly. Anyways enough about me lets dive into the reason I wanted to create a blog.

I have always enjoyed crafting and creating pretty things however, it was not until I was introduced by a friend from work the beauty and such relaxing art of handmade card making and stamping. It was love at first sight. I have learned so many things along the way and wanted to share them with you. So without further ado here is my fist picture. Hope you like it 😉

Meet TINY TOWNIE BLOSSOM LOVES BALLOONS from Stamping Bella. I have colored her with Copics and used glossy accents for the balloons. Aligning my sentiment was a breeze with my Misti tool. I will try to list my colors used next time.

Phew that was not so bad for my first purple post haha!
